The Wakefield roofers of DPR Roofing Ltd were called to carry out some general repairs and maintenance to a property in Horbury.
There were three areas of the domestic property’s roof that need working on, the rear elevation chimney stack, the front elevation and rear elevation roofline.
The owner, Mrs Sellars, was so impressed with the work carried out by our professional roofers in Wakefield that wrote the letter opposite shortly after the completed works.
The workd carried out by the roofers was as follows:
Rear elevation chimney stack
• Erecting of access equipment.
• Raking out all pointing to lead flashings and replugging with traditional lead plugs.
• Removal and replacement of damaged slates around flashing – particularly to gutter back area.
• Redressing of leadwork to ensure correct overlap and fitment.
• Repointing of all flashings using quality lead mate waterproof compound.
• Applying of a fibreglass coating to gutter back for prolonged lifespan.
• Removal of resultant rubble from site.
Front elevation roof works
• Removal of lifted slate to front pediment area and resetting to stop driving rain entering roof space.
• Cleaning down of both valley areas.
• Applying a two stage fibreglass coating for prolonged lifespan.
• Redressing any loosely fitted flashings in area of pediment.
• Filling in of hole where birds are entering around fallpipe area using mortar mix.
Rear elevation roofline pointing/lifted slates
• Repointing of missing mortar to roofline areas to stop insects entering the property.
• Refitting of dislodged roof tiles.
Upon completion of the work the area was completely cleaned downed leaving the homeowner with nothing to do but enjoy her fully restored roof.
