Following an inspection for a leaky external garage roof, DPR’s Wakefield roofers went to work repairing the damage that had caused the leak and removing a build up of moss on the roof.

To make the repairs to the sheet joint and clean the moss, our roofers first needed to fit safety crawling boards to the rear section of the garage roof.

Once these were in place the team then set about removing the defective flashband jointing tape that had been fitted by a sub-standard roofing contractor, before clearing out the heavy build up of moss to the rear profile sheet joint.

They then carried out the necessary fibreglass resin repairs to the cracked sheet areas using a matting system and specialist resin coat.

Finally, DPR Wakefield lifted the sheet edges to apply a specialist joint compound to prevent back tracking of rainwater; thus further protecting the roof against future leaks.
