DPR’s roofers in Leeds were instructed to remove and replace the tin slate surrounding a soil stack on the roof of a house in Rawdon.

From the pictures the damage is clear to see, with the tin slate having succumbed to general wear and tear over the years.

To rectify the situation we stripped out the roof tiles around the existing tin slate as well as disposing of the tin slate. In the process we repaired any existing or subsequent damage to the felt.

We were then able to fit the new tin slate, supplied by DPR, and retile accordingly.

We used our specialist Leadmate waterproof compound to redress the lead and further seal the soil stack pipe before fitting a new domed vent top on the pipe.

With the job done we promptly cleared all the removed debris and rubble.
