DPR were contacted recently by the occupants of a property on Wrenthorpe Road in Wakefield. They were aware that the roof of their rear elevation was in need of some repair and contacted DPR after a recommendation from friends. DPR’s roofers attended the property to carry out a detailed survey of the roof and discovered that the single storey pitched roof of the rear elevation was in need of replacement.

In preparation for the new roofing DPR’s roofers stripped down and disposed of the existing roof covering, under felt and timber latte, removed the old lead apron and cleaned down the chase area. All fascias, soffits and guttering to the single storey extension was removed and disposed of.

The new roof included fitting a BS747 breathable under felt (membrane), new pre-treated timber battens and good quality reclaimed Welsh slate. New code four lead apron flashings were fitted at a maximum of 1.2 metre intervals for prevention of expansion damage. Finally DPR supplied and fitted new wood grain effect PVC fascias, soffits and barge boards and square line brown PVC guttering.
