DPR Roofing recently completed a project at a domestic property in Farsley, Leeds.  They were contacted by the occupants after a leak was discovered.

Following a thorough inspection by DPR’s roofers it was established that the ridge tiles and verge edge has become defective and was allowing water penetration into the roof space.

In order to rectify the problem DPR removed all of the ridge tiles to the main house roof and set them aside for reuse.  They then hacked back all of the old and defective mortar bedding and disposed of it.  Finally they cleaned down the roof area prior to resetting the salvaged ridge tiles to a new mortar bedding.

Additionally DPR’s roofers hacked back all of the verge edge detail and cleaned it down prior to applying an SBR compound adhesive and new mortar pointing.

The whole area was tested for water tightness before the roofers left the site.
