Last month the Leeds roofers of DPR Roofing Ltd demonstrated that we’re not just about installing new roofs and carrying out roof repairs, but that we can utilise our skills, equipment and tools as roofers to do other jobs on roofs – like fitting roof mounted fans.
This is exactly the job we undertook for Abbeyvet Export, an international exporter of veterinary products, based on Sherburn Enterprise Park, in Sherburn in Elmet on the outskirts of Leeds.
We supplied and fitted a market-leading Vent-Axia roof-mounted axial fan which required us to build an internal scaffold tower and gain access to the building’s roof covering using our specialist powered high level access platform.
Once at the required height and location, the team of Leeds roofers had to cut an opening according to the fan manufacturer’s specifications in order to fit the Euro series Vent-Axia fan.
Once in place the team then supplied and fitted a plastisol roof deflection sheet to stop ingress of water.
DPR then provided a qualified electrician to carry out the wiring of the fan unit to a fused switched unit.
Abbeyvet Export was established in 1994 and is now the UK’s premier international veterinary wholesale company, with detailed scientific knowledge of veterinary products and disease control measures along with access to veterinary specialist and academic institutions around the world.
